Yup, that's the key. And I think that stems from thinking that morality is extremely simple and straightforward. "oh of course you let anyone into the country, because they're minorities and minorities are oppressed and you're an asshole if you don't". In reality, morality is incredibly nuanced and moral decisions are rarely straightforward. thoughts?

@johnthenoticer i think it's more about how they understand their own worldview. the left is convinced it's absolutely morally good and true. thus anyone that opposes them must logically be absolutely morally evil and false. when fighting true evil any means are justified. it's narcissism.

The right is occasionally ok with "being the asshole". Being "nice" no matter what to all groups, minorities, genders, etc isn't something they prioritize as much. When a leftist gets angry at a right-winger, it's because they think that person is being immoral (e.g. intolerant, bigoted, etc usually to minority groups). When a right-winger gets angry, it's more because they think the leftist is being stupid/doesn't see the whole picture. They understand that the leftist THINKS they're being more moral.

Check out moral foundations theory. Conservatives broadly understand evolved moral foundations. The left broadly doesn't, and in fact that seems to be the defining feature of the left. The left can't understand the right because it cannot achieve a full moral understanding. Right Wing politics will therefore always be incomprehensible to them.

There can be incongruences that are affected by your sex characteristics, but that's not them being the same thing

Being trans sucks. Transitioning isn't ideal and it will never remove gender dysphoria completely. No meds will give me my childhood back or fix how horrible society is. But I'm glad I did it. I wish I didn't have to struggle, but I'm finally able to live as my authentic self.
