Duke is elite. Isaiah Evans recorded an 87.18 game grade in the win that sent Duke to the Elite Eight. Duke is 11–0 this season when Evans records a game grade of 85+.

Arizona is elite. The Wildcats’ offensive firepower fueled a 109-point performance and punched their ticket to the Elite Eight. Brayden Burries has taken his play to another level over the last 10 games. Grade in first 27 games: 86.39 Grade in last 10 games: 91.80

Illinois is elite. A total team effort pushed Illinois past Houston and into the Elite Eight. Illinois’ defense has consistently stifled opposing players—they are one of just three teams that have not allowed a game grade of 83+ in any tournament game so far. Those teams: ▫️ Illinois (3 GP) ▫️ Alabama (2 GP) ▫️ St. John’s (2 GP)

Iowa is elite. Tate Sage delivered his best performance of the season, posting a season-high game grade and powering Iowa into the Elite Eight. Coming into the tournament, Iowa was 14–3 in games when Bennett Stirtz led the team in game grade, but just 7–9 when he didn’t. That trend has flipped in March—through three tournament games, the Hawkeyes are 3–0 when someone other than Stirtz has been their top-graded player.

Purdue is elite. Trey Kaufman-Renn’s performance and game-winner secured Purdue a spot in the Elite Eight. Purdue is 26–2 this season in games where one of their players records an 85+ game grade. They are 4–6 when no one does.

Double-digit seeds with a 90+ graded player have been one of the most reliable upset indicators in March 👀 📊 Over the past 7 tournaments: 10–4 in the First Round  📈 Over the past 3 tournaments: 5–1 in the First Round Unfortunately, no team meets that threshold this year based on our data. But a few came very close ⬇️ • 11 SMU — Boopie Miller (89.26) • 11 Texas — Dailyn Swain (88.73) • 12 Akron — Tavari Johnson (88.37) Could one of them still break through?
