Two girls, then aged 16 and 17, were dragged from a street in Harpenden into a wooded area, in broad daylight and sexually assaulted. The Defendant was sentenced to an extended sentence of 16 years’ custody plus 2 years’ extended licence, making a total sentence of 18 years.

Simon Wilshire leading Matthew Kirk secured a conviction for murder after trial at Huntingdon Crown Court.  Following a controlling relationship, the defendant strangled his partner with a ligature.  He claimed her death had been an accident.

The trial lasted 5 days and both defendants were convicted.  Heath Vosper was sentenced to 4 years and 3 months and his co-defendant, Shauna Reynolds, to 16 months’ imprisonment suspended for 12 months. Toby was instructed by Lucy Broughton of CPS East of England.

He was sentenced to 53 months’ imprisonment following a Newton Hearing where it was found that when he made the moulds he had dishonest intent, although it was accepted that there was no concrete plan to use or sell them.

Martynov admitted that whilst he was working as a locksmith and carpenter at HMP Wandsworth he made moulds of three keys which would have enabled access from the cells to the outer perimeter of the prison.
