@Hvitabyr @GregSmi61359918 @SuellaBraverman Mass deportation of settled migrants is coming?
Nah, there's very limited public support for that. Fringe.
English

Sacked for telling the truth.
I have read the report from the DfE and it is disgraceful.
A good teacher has been struck off for holding very normal, common-sense views.
Civil servants in Westminster would faint if they met someone from Darlington or Middlesbrough. They are completely detached from reality.
I hope Mr Everett appeals and is successful.
Daily Mail@DailyMail
PE teacher who told migrants to 'respect our laws or leave' banned from classroom despite being cleared of racism and it being recommended that he keep his job trib.al/3U0e5UF
English

@MaltaBlitz @SuellaBraverman We teach in the UK, Michael. We observe UK law, and professional conduct.
While he didn't break the law, he did break the teacher standards.
English

@ACT2CAM @SuellaBraverman Obviously worried about their job and living in a very defensive bubble, there is nothing wrong with what was said, and it's obviously correct, try going to live in any other country, Muslim or any other and demand they observe your religion and culture and see what happens.
English

@TimothyTim34892 @SuellaBraverman It's really simple, Tim.
Yes his expression was lawful and legal.
Doesn't mean it's not unprofessional conduct.
You joined Twitter this month, have no friends, and have posted on nothing but Islam.
How are you finding things?
English

@ACT2CAM @SuellaBraverman No, his expression was lawful and legal. The actions of the Teaching Regulatory Authority and the Secretary of State for Education that are illegal.

@Hvitabyr @GregSmi61359918 @SuellaBraverman Ethically, I've got nothing against removals of failed asylum seekers, ilegal, criminal, etc. Incentivised remigration, fair enough, if you want.
Mass deportation of settled, legal migrants? Definitely not.
English

@ACT2CAM @GregSmi61359918 @SuellaBraverman Hope & wishful thinking ain’t going to fix this.
Remigration will.
English

@EggySoldier @GregSmi61359918 @SuellaBraverman You have Saudi owners...
Teacher wasn't sacked for advocating laws to be respected. He was sacked for professional misconduct. Like swearing in the street kinda thing. Legal, but unprofessional.
English

@GregSmi61359918 @ACT2CAM @SuellaBraverman Phew! I had a narrow escape sticking to Newcastle
Anyway, back to advocating laws in England are respected.
Why should a teacher be sacked for doing so?
English

@Hvitabyr @GregSmi61359918 @SuellaBraverman There will be push back, yeas. And then there will be community cohesion. We will overcome :) UTB
English

@ACT2CAM @GregSmi61359918 @SuellaBraverman That’s fine. We can disagree.
I’m not even saying individually these people are inherently bad. I’m saying their loyalty, ambitions, loyalty, leaders & motivations are not English.
That fact is corrosive. There’s nothing organic here.
There will be pushback.
English

@Leemyring80 @SuellaBraverman You know nothing about UK teacher standards.
English

@ACT2CAM @SuellaBraverman Utter nonsense.. people have paid the ultimate price for him to be able to speak freely
English

@GregSmi61359918 @Hvitabyr @SuellaBraverman @grok is it true that the UK will eventually become quasi Islamic, especially by 2100?
English

@ACT2CAM @Hvitabyr @SuellaBraverman I've never had any trouble, it's a minority that cause problems, but with 75% of MI5 caseloads being Islamic related, do not underestimate the issues. Its inevitable that the UK will eventually become quasi Islamic, especially by 2100, the huge birth rate will see to that.
English

@TimothyTim34892 @SuellaBraverman No, that would not be legal :)
It's not that he "held right wing opinions". There are plenty of teachers that hold right wing opinions, with whom I am also good friends.
It's the manner of his inappropriate conduct in public, which is the issue. Legal, but unprofessional.
English

@ACT2CAM @SuellaBraverman Do you think if the DoE had a professional standard which said “Teachers must have white skin” that would be legal?
Well guess what those same laws protect people who hold legal right wing opinions.
English

@david_fore56526 @SuellaBraverman David you're a bot with no followers
English

@ACT2CAM @SuellaBraverman Muslims have to go. All of them. Islam is a religion based on misogyny, homophobia and pedophilia.
English

@TimothyTim34892 @SuellaBraverman No, it's not incompatible at all. You're comparing apples with eggs.
Think about a teacher always seen getting drunk in public.
Totally legal, but also unprofessional. The school would be well within their rights to sack them for professional misconduct.
English

@ACT2CAM @SuellaBraverman Yes, because the professional standards are illegal.
The Department of Education has breached section 6(1) of the Human Rights Act 1998.
“It is unlawful for a public authority to act in a way which is incompatible with a Convention right.”
English

@TimothyTim34892 @SuellaBraverman The TRA said he wasn't racist, so it was *legal* speech. The DfE said he *broke professional standards* which may be legal, but still a sackable offence. It's not a freedom of speech issue, is it? Not sure why you brought it up, tbh.
We do very good trees, I'll have you know!
English

@ACT2CAM @SuellaBraverman (2) Even if he did, there is no absolute prohibition, and the ECHR has made clear the bar for restricting speech is an extremely high bar indeed.
Stick to teaching children to be trees.
English

@GregSmi61359918 @Hvitabyr @SuellaBraverman Well we'll not convince each other on twitter, though I respect your views. I just have never had any problem with my neighbours. Not once. Lovely, kind, thoughtful people. I do get how some people get worried, though.
Ever go to O'Connells (Scruffy Murphy's)?
English

@ACT2CAM @Hvitabyr @SuellaBraverman 🤣. I mean very different to our rule of law etc. Many of them tell me Sharia law is best it's a higher law...don't you know. Some believe the UK would be better with it. Islam is as much political as religious, it impacts on most aspects of life, it's v clever and controlling
English

@DrDJWilde @LostTransport @SuellaBraverman You can voice it, just be aware that other people have rights, too. Your rights are not more important than theirs.
English

@LostTransport @ACT2CAM @SuellaBraverman We're basically now a society where we're not allowed to voice an opinion.
English

@DrDJWilde @LostTransport @SuellaBraverman Maybe more because we don't want fascists teaching our kids?
English
