🔶A Tennessee Senate committee today approved the ‘Recognizing Judea and Samaria Act’ (HB 1446 / SB 1446), a bill that would prohibit state agencies from using the term "West Bank" in official government materials.
The legislation instead requires agencies to refer to the region by its biblical names, Judea and Samaria. If enacted, the law is scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2026.
The bill has already passed the Tennessee House of Representatives. Its approval by the Senate committee on March 25, 2026, was its final step before moving to the full Senate for a final vote. Similar legislation has been proposed or passed in other states, including Arkansas, which enacted a similar law in 2025.
Testimonies in favor of the bill have come from figures such as former Auburn basketball coach Bruce Pearl. Opponents note that the bill unnecessarily involves Tennessee in international conflicts and delegitimizes Palestinian identity.

Blanche: When it comes to the FBI… Director Patel has cleaned house there too. There is not a single man or woman with a gun, federal agent, still in that organization that had anything to do with the prosecution of President Trump. President Trump for the first time in modern history has said I am the president and if you work in the executive branch, you work for me. And guess what? We can all read the constitution. He's right. And unfortunately, past administrations, Republican included, have just resigned themselves to putting up with partisan actors within the DOJ. We do not.
