@instablog9ja That’s really painful. Being turned back at your own brother’s house just because of money is not right at all. Family should never embarrass you like that.

“I earn N30,000 monthly. The day I went for my brother’s housewarming, the bouncer sent me away from the gate. He didn’t even invite me, it was our family members that invited me. I was embarrassed”- Gehgeh’s sister

“Killing or violence in any form is unacceptable and cannot be justified. Every loss of life is tragic, and such matters must be addressed through proper investigation and the justice system. Anyone found wanting, no matter how influential or highly placed, should be held accountable and prosecuted in accordance with the law.”

@AfroTimeline @Rothmus It has doubtless had a lot to do with the thousand-plus murders there have been of White farmers and their family members in the last twenty-five years or more.

MALEMA: “Go after a white man.” Also MALEMA: “We are cutting the throat of whiteness.” Liberals: “ummm actually this is not genocidal language, he meant that metaphorically.”

I’m not dodging anything. I already said the language is reckless and deserves criticism. But saying there’s context isn’t the same as excusing it. You can think the meaning is obvious that’s your take. I just don’t think every political statement is as literal as you’re making it out to be. Either way, it’s still irresponsible language, and that’s the issue.”

@AfroTimeline @Rothmus It's pretty clear what the "context" is. It's raw cowardice to claim he doesn't mean what he said.

That kind of talk is hard to defend, honestly. Whether he says it’s metaphorical or not, those are strong words, and they don’t exactly calm things down. If anything, they just add more tension. At the same time, throwing around labels like “genocide” without context can also muddy the conversation. Two things can be true: the language is reckless, and people can still debate what he actually meant. But at the end of the day, leaders know the weight their words carry. Saying things like that, even as a figure of speech, isn’t harmless it sticks and it influences how people think and react.

This footage shows the moment Sani Abacha seized control of Nigeria in 1993 a defining turning point in the nation’s history. Despite facing heavy sanctions from the Commonwealth of Nations, the European Union, and the United States, his administration is often credited with stabilizing key economic indicators. During his rule, inflation reportedly dropped from 54% to 8.5%, foreign reserves increased from $494 million to $9.6 billion, and the Petroleum (Special) Trust Fund (PTF) was established. The PTF supported major infrastructure projects, including roads, hospitals such as the National Hospital Abuja and schools.
