@tomhfh Manchester should be studied as a role model for YIMBYism. The rest of the country would benefit from following its example

@MrRBourne What about a university course Credit Rating Agency, so the amount available to borrow depends upan the the job prospects of where and what the student decides to study?
English

Unpopular opinion: people who go to university should pay for their own education, including paying a market interest rate if they borrow to do so.

@historyinmemes What are the erm.. practical applications of this?

@wallaceme You're going to have to come to terms with the fact you were born in the nineteen hundreds 😱

I’m annoyed about this, but mainly because it calls 1999 historic, please stop it.

@jeremyxarchive Tbh it sounds like an unwanted and unecessary distraction. Just crack on.

@prwhittle What does any of this have to do with running a trumped up local council?
English

Well, the mayor likes spending money on PR campaigns, so how about marking this day with this poster :
‘London is proud to be the capital city of the country that uniquely abolished the slave trade and spent the next 50 years using its ships to ensure abolition was enforced.’
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan@MayorofLondon
The International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition is a reminder that we must all learn about this shameful chapter in our history and recognise how its legacy lives on today. 1/2

@MrRBourne Looks like pretty good fit to me. What's the r value?

I still think this money supply data us a good indicator of where we are headed. Administered prices, like energy because of price cap, blurring matters a bit.
Ben Chu@BenChu_
...and advancing the money supply time series forward by 18 months gives this. Not such a brilliant fit. Inflation is proving rather stickier than a simple read across from the money supply growth rate would suggest.
English

@andrew_lilico Although I agree, I think you'll be talking to a brick wall with your 'outdated' understanding of inflation. 😐
English

OK I'll do this one.
