“Con frecuencia, importar ideas novedosas al psicoanálisis equivale a sentenciarlas a una muerte lenta e invisible, porque el ímpetu inmediato es convertir las ideas entrantes en ‘psicoanalíticas’ o ‘aplicarlas’ a la clínica. Semejante movimiento, frecuente y reflexivo, inevitablemente despoja dichas ideas de elementos que son ajenos a la teorización analítica, cuando de hecho ese carácter ajeno es precisamente lo que las hace más vitalizantes para el psicoanálisis.
