@tokyonosensei @GadSaad @Concordia Psychiatry exists in Pakistan, in Islam, and in most functioning societies.
What remains under investigation is your understanding of all three.
English

@Azizms83 @GadSaad @Concordia Yeah, Gad Sssd does give the vibe of a person who has never introspected, ever.
For those who can't tell this is called sarcasm.
Aziz, you are a psychiatrist from Pakistan, that's genuinely amazing. I did not know that you could have psychiatry in islam?
English

I was strolling through the @concordia Loyola campus. An individual looks at me and says: "Oh, it's the first time that I see you in person." I smilingly say something akin to "there you go" and he then proceeds to say in a friendly tone "but I'm not a fan." I retort "That's ok. In a free society, people can disagree with each other." We both smiled, I give him the thumbs up and we headed off on separate ways. This is how civilized people act. Kudos to the young man for having a positive disposition.
English

@TurboMitzvah @GadSaad @Concordia Not being a fan is perfectly fine. My point was never about disagreement — it was about converting ordinary disagreement into self-congratulation.

@elonmusk @RupertLowe10 And yet, you hobnob with a president who is in the Epstein files and whom a civil jury in New York found liable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll.

@cyalm Pakistan needs rule of law. No shahbaz or jaanbaaz speed.

A serious question for the idea of “suicidal empathy”:
If compassion is dangerous whenever it crosses national, racial, religious, or cultural boundaries, then what remains of humanity as a shared moral project?
A civilisation may survive by hardening itself against others — but does the human race survive if every civilisation does the same?

🇺🇸 Bernie Sanders says Trump's support isn't really about Trump.
It's about millions of people who feel democracy no longer delivers results in their daily lives.
When people can't afford healthcare, struggle to get ahead, and see their children falling behind, they stop believing in institutions and start looking for a strong leader instead.
"If democracy worked for working people, people would believe in it again."

@MarioNawfal Heart 14 years younger, lungs clear, cognition 30/30. Wonderful. Now please run the “previous statement vs next statement” test — that’s where the real pathology may show.
English

🚨🇺🇸 The White House just released Trump's annual physical, and the doctor's verdict is "excellent health."
At 79, the President's exam at Walter Reed found a heart functioning like someone 14 years younger, clear lungs, and a perfect 30/30 on the cognitive assessment.
The memo also noted scarring on his right ear from the 2025 assassination attempt, with hearing fully intact.
A lifelong abstainer from alcohol and tobacco, Trump was declared "fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief."

@Nebohtes Mr. PhD, I condemned violence. You offered insults. My point was selective outrage: one filmed assault gets global moral panic, while children, women and elderly civilians dying on camera are ignored when their suffering does not serve the narrative.
English

@Azizms83 Hello, Aziz. You are a Hatfield-McCoy worshipping hillbilly regressive racist that rationalizes extreme violence based on skin color alone. I hope your backwards, ignorant beliefs receive all the ridicule they deserve and you are shamed into growing up. Best of luck to you.
English

@RichardWayne500 @Pishak2013 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 I am not protecting criminals. I condemned the assault. What I am questioning is selective morality: one viral video shocks you, while far greater atrocities elsewhere—many filmed, many censored—are conveniently ignored by those who shape the global narrative.
English

@Azizms83 @Pishak2013 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 Black Plantations owned white slaves in America. Slavery was never about color. You try to pretend it was in order for you to defend criminals today.
English

@panatheniac @Pishak2013 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 You don’t get to rob a house for centuries, return the keys at the end, and then demand applause as the saviour of property rights.
English

@Azizms83 @Pishak2013 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 Wait hold up: when White people end the ancient institution of slavery worldwide it’s “oh anybody would have done that, it was natural and White people have no specific quality that led to it”
But when it’s participating in slavery, White people DO bear a specific guilt. WHY?
English

You can criticise Muslim empires, but don’t misrepresent Islam. The Prophet’s final sermon declared: “No Arab is superior to a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab to an Arab; no white to black, nor black to white—except in piety.” That is the Islamic standard. History often failed it; Islam did not preach racism.
English

@GarbeyJoe @Azizms83 @Pishak2013 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 And was FAR more brutal. There’s a reason why there aren’t huge black populations in the Middle East like there are in the Caribbean and Americas. They worked them to death and castrated the men as a matter of course.
English

Islam addressed slavery in the 7th century by pushing society toward emancipation: freeing slaves became worship, compensation for sins, and even a zakat category. The U.S. abolished slavery in 1865 only after a brutal civil war. So let’s not pretend the timelines or moral paths were the same.
English

@Azizms83 @Pishak2013 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 Now mention the Islamic slave trade in Africa, which was far more widespread and lasted much longer.
English

@StumoSuzan71220 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 Thank you for judging me by name. I am replying you because I like your DP and I am a cat lover.
English

@Azizms83 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 Go back to wherever you originate and ask what happened there, we don’t need you here. I grew up in a peaceful well administered country and then people with names like yours starting showing up as the place went to shit. Nuff said.
English

@Azizms83 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 Fuk all the way off back to Pakistan. We don’t need help from you, of all countries. Pakis ha been raping European women and children for decades.
English

@chotiari @Pishak2013 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 Yes, I know Pakistan has serious human rights problems. But bonded labour and forced child marriage are not legal ideals here—they are crimes and failures of enforcement. Criticise Pakistan where it fails, but don’t pretend illegal abuse is the same as state-sanctioned slavery.
English

@Azizms83 @Pishak2013 @elonmusk @BigPopz72 Are you even aware that there is slavery in Pakistan today? Or what do you think bonded labor is? How about forced marriages of little girls as young as 9?
Clean up your own house.

❗Research from Save the Children: Palestinian children are being physically, emotionally and sexually abused, humiliated and starved in Israeli military detention.
The torture, and other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment of children, is getting worse.
🔴 More than half of the formerly-detained children we surveyed reported witnessing or experiencing sexual violence
🔴 99% reported physical assault
🔴 82% reported being forcibly stripped naked
🔴 94% reported being denied medical care
🔴 100% reported being denied contact with their families
Read more: resourcecentre.savethechildren.net/pdf/Child_Dete…
@YvetteCooperMP, @HFalconerMP: the UK Government should publicly call for the release of all Palestinian children arbitrarily detained and call for an end to Israeli military authorities arresting, detaining and prosecuting children.
