Many ask what is the antidote to victim lionizing left-leaning therapy. One of the reasons I keep one foot in the trades is because a man can become a fool if all he does is psychotherapy. In building things, you can tamper with reality but only so much. Ultimately you have to wrap your mind around common sense and cause and effect reasoning. Then take action. For example, we've been trying to get a well drilled for 3 months. We did an immense amount of prep work on the hillside so our guy could get his drilling rig up there. He finally got it up, but then informed that he would not be able to raise the derrick because the rig would likely spill over as the hours went by. It was uneven by inches, and that wasn't viable to the naked eye. He said if I could get the hilltop planed out within a couple day window, he would be able to bring the rigger back out and get us back on schedule. "Rigger, what!" I said, as I rented a skidsteer and went for it with a hard R. It took me two days, but I have that hilltop so straight, they are calling it "Conversion Therapy". You can just adapt things, anon. But it takes effort, a plan, and an eye on the end goal in mind.

@McJesusCanada I will agree that a large majority of the Psych Academic Institutions are peddling pseudo-science but not all programs are unethical trash.

@BOSSlvlTherapy Anyone training to become a Psychologist, Psychiatrist or to work in Mental Health are taught how to administers bad medicine. They learn pseudo treatments which do far more harm than good. Wellness need not go back to the dark ages. Though sanity does need to be restored.

I still think “What is a Woman?” Is a masterpiece but he is intellectually lazy when it comes to mental health. Yes there are bad therapists. But by his own reasoning Catholicism is a trillion $ cabal of pedophiles.

I appreciate and agree with much of @MattWalshBlog’s opinions regarding mental health/illness. However, he has made zero attempts to speak to any of the many therapists who have contacted him, tagged him, sent him DMs, and even emailed him for a discussion about the field from those of us sane shrinks. Let’s discuss, Matt. You want change? Talk to those of us trying to gut this industry from the inside out. Complaining about it doesn’t support our efforts at ground zero. You want to help? Ask us what we’re up to. Highlight our efforts instead of bashing it from the sidelines. We’re doing the work, and you’ve chosen to ignore us many times over.
