@BayAreaTrev Harrison, it's his to lose, Posey is old school and Harrison has been around longer than Birdsong, so unless Harrison has a completely bad spring the spot is his to lose.

@GarlicFryRy MLB has always been bad at marketing it's biggest stars to a wider/global audience. Hopefully they get better at it, Bobby Witt Jr, Elly De La Cruz and Paul Skenes are exciting right now to watch and are also going to be around for a while.

This never makes sense to me, if Ohtani is already popular why not try to showcase other players that are less popular? Isn’t the goal to grow the game?? How is it growing if you are showing the same 2-3 players and the same 2-3 teams, EVERY post?!?! 😅

@GarlicFryRy @SFGiants This is where numbers matter over perception, because of his pitching style he gives up a lot of contact that usually ends up in an out, but because a lot of fans use the "seeing eye test" those 3-4 blow-ups per season get massively exaggerated.

He takes the ball every time he is asked and usually by the end of the year has ELITE numbers. I think @SFGiants fans don’t like him because he has 3-4 blowups every season but doesn’t every pitcher? He should NEVER close but for the 7th or 8th inning, there’s not many better.

@brian_wyckoff @SoxFanNerd As a Giants fan I appreciate the high ranking but I feel we should be switched with the Padres. We have question marks after Logan Webb in the rotation and throughout most of the lineup.

@SoxFanNerd Giants - There rotation is good they got better offensevily getting adames getting Lee back White Sox - marlins are so bad Reds- Reds are very good that rotation lineup is good Mariners - there pitching can go a long way Twins - Al central is still weak

@GarlicFryRy Baggs said partway through the offseason other front offices were asking for ridiculous returns in trade talks, due to our front office being inexperienced. It's that whole, you have to earn the respect of other front offices thing before they will take you seriously.

@BaseballChaz Or why couldn’t we trade? I know we couldn’t get big fish because our farm system doesn’t have a lot of blue chips in it but we could have easily traded for Naylor or Lowe which would have been really helpful.

I just need to take this one on the chin because I roast people a lot on here so it’s only fair that they roast me back. I’m just tired of my favorite team not making the playoffs and I hope that changes soon. Also I shouldn’t have deleted the original tweet so here it is:

@C_Lo40 Also I think his messaging at the beginning of the offseason was somewhat misleading. He seemed to promise being contenders and competing straight away, then the offseason goes quiet after signing Adames, which then leads to frustration and disappointment.

@C_Lo40 I'm open minded, it can be argued he's going against the grain in a lot of ways, by going away from analytics and doing some other things that go against the modern accepted Baseball philosophy, but however the Giants can get back to winning, I'll accept whatever works.

@GarlicFryRy Yep, I wanted Burnes, Adames and Santander to propel us into definitive wild card contendership, ok depending on who you believe Burnes didn't like the opt-outs and/or wanted to stay in Zona, but the Santander contract was 100% affordable, why can't we offer defered contracts?

@BaseballChaz The funny thing is I wasn’t even criticizing the players, I was criticizing the front office on both going harder in the offseason after getting Adames. Adames is a great player but hers older so the window is now to compete because Adames and Chapman are in their primes NOW

@BaseballJeff1 I think that also depends on A) if we're talking about James Tibbs III being a potential starter at this time next offseason and B) If the Giants decide to make a big play for Kyle Tucker and can actually sign him.

The Giants will be continuing this trend in 2025 with Heliot Ramos likely slated to start in left field on Opening Day. Could 2026 be the year this Iron Man streak finally comes to an end?
