@GarlicFryRy @SFGiants I’m not buying tickets to watch guys like Schmitt, Moss, or some scrub C. But I would buy tickets to see possible future stars like Eldridge and Tidwell play.

I don’t know why @SFGiants fans are getting so mad about Eldridge getting sent down? The front office & coaching staff wanted to see him smash the door down in Spring Training & he didn’t. He had some moments but if he performs in Sac he should be up in a month or so. BREATHE.

@Reno_SportsFan @SFGiants I get it but Eldridge will be up in 3 weeks to a month if he’s hitting in sac. So what’s the big deal? And also koss and Schmitt are bench bats, when Eldridge is up he will be a starter so it’s a little different

@GarlicFryRy @SFGiants You’re a fan as well, don’t pretend you’re better. Fans are upset because we’ve seen this song and dance with top prospects before unfortunately. Fans like myself would be more than happy to pay to watch Eldridge over Schmitt or Moss who we know aren’t the answer.

I’m more upset about McCray getting sent down than Eldridge. Why was Gilbert not sent down? I know the veterans like someone to choke but McCray had a better spring than Gilbert and Gilbert is hurt. Gilbert better not make the opening day roster it should be Oliva! @SFGiants

@Reno_SportsFan @SFGiants He can still be a good 4th OF. His defense is pretty damn good. And got fleeced by the Mets for Rogers? They don’t even have him anymore and we weren’t going to re sign him anyway. We are lucky to get anything for a rental

@GarlicFryRy @SFGiants Yeah, I agree with it from that sense, it just makes the lineup construction brutal. I wonder if Arraez DHs until he’s ready and this allows Schmitt to play every day. Because if this move is trying to get Jerar every day ABs I’m gonna lose my shit

My issue is they’re concerned seemingly with the K%, and that’s never going to get better, it’s who he is. Also, they didn’t bring in a competent alternative option to be a LHH DH/1B, which is my bigger issue. They needed to have a fallback plan vet at camp. Lowe or Smith would’ve been so simple to have here to fall back on but they did nothing

@GarlicFryRy @SFGiants Id prefer Gilbert over Matos. Matos has never done anything as a bench bat and can’t field a baseball. But agree I’d prefer one of Oliva or Brennan

@GarlicFryRy @SFGiants That’s what I’m hoping, i was really wanting to cut ties with them they don’t offer much. McCray was my perfect 4th OF for this roster. Speed and Defense and LHH. Hope Brennan beats out one of those 2 for OD

@C2Cbsbl @SFGiants I agree but I doubt both of them are there for a month. They will try to sneak 1 through waivers in a week or 2 when a lot of teams already have their rosters set.

Matos and Encarnacion will be bad and borderline liabilities within a month. And are both RHH bad corner outfielders on a roster desperately needing LHH and glove/speed off the bench. Mind bogglingly stupid for both those guys to make the roster simply because they have no options

Having both Casey Schmitt & Christian Koss on the @SFGiants roster seems repetitive to me. With Schmitt having the most trade value out of the 2, should they trade him for a proven relief pitcher? It would help the bullpen & open a spot for Oliva that would help with his speed.
