We have to be honest: there is a certain Asian threshold, that once crossed, drains the joy & organic social chemistry out of a city or institution. Life becomes dull & mechanical, lacking the energy that inspires straight men.

We hosted SF's only co-ed mixer with more women than men. 45 women, 35 men, and 4 relationships I personally know came out of it. And I'm the guy who went viral for staying "single until series B." Here's the storytime: One random Sunday I tweeted that there should be a singles mixer for YC and a16z speedrun founders. The shitpost hit top news on X. Consensus: "no women will sign up." Instead, dozens of women DMed me: "please make it happen, just keep the ratio right." @dianeemccormack from Fondo offered to run it. @peggy_wang from SparkChat & @parthma said they're single and in. While we planned, I went viral again with my bro @contextconor for joking I'd stay "single until series B." @gregisenberg called it the single worst trend to come out of silicon valley. People called me "everything wrong with SF," said incels were killing the city's dating culture (fun fact: it doesn't exist). So now I was the "single until series B" guy throwing SF's biggest singles mixer. The irony was not lost on me. But a million views, thousands of DMs, and hundreds on the waitlist were counting on me. @pulley signed on to sponsor. So I leaned in. I asked @peggy_wang to be the face of it, dunking on the techbros: sign up so you don't end up like me, single until series B. I was guiding people to a treasure I couldn't possess. And it worked. Best event I've ever hosted. Curated people from every walk of life, not just YC founders, actually hit it off. The girls' group chat is still popping lol. Moral: you can have your cake and eat it too. It's just harder. You can stay "single until series B" and still help everyone else find their person. As @gregisenberg put it in his tweet calling us out: you can have it all. (all love, I like his work) This is independent of my startup @KoyalAI, which helps people make films with AI. Yes, also controversial. I can't help it.

I am studying Isaiah and clearly there is ONE God:

Ever notice how Mormons love to talk about Jesus, but shut down when you want to talk about God?
That’s because they believe God was once just like you and me.
Walking on some earth, somewhere, just like we are today.
Their teachings on God are so wrong that Jesus is moot.
The Mormon concept of God is essentially an exalted and perfected version of a human. They believe that God began as a man and, like all gods had done before him, became a god. Even before he was man, he was a preexistent spirit in some preexistent world, the offspring of an older god and his celestial wives.
Mormon doctrine holds that, after he became a god, he and a heavenly mother had spirit children that include you, me, Jesus, and even Lucifer. God, according to Mormons, wasn’t always God; his deity was the result of living an exceptionally holy life.
That’s why they have to keep you arguing about Jesus and the Creeds and avoid God altogether. 👍

As a Muslim, there's something that genuinely bothers me.
Millions of Muslims live in Christian majority countries, build mosques, preach Islam publicly, distribute Qur'ans, open halal businesses, and demand religious freedom,and rightly so.
Some even call for aspects of Shariah to be accommodated in the societies they've moved to.
Yet in some Muslim majority countries, Christians cannot openly preach the Gospel, build churches freely, or practice their faith without restrictions.
Why?
If we demand religious freedom for ourselves, we should be willing to grant it to others.
Truth does not need censorship.
If Islam is the truth, it has nothing to fear from a church, a Bible, or a Christian preacher.
You can't demand tolerance and freedom for Muslims abroad while denying the same freedoms to others at home.
The double standard needs to be called out.

In 1847, German physicist Hermann von Helmholtz formalized the 1st Law of Thermodynamics mathematically, establishing it as a universal principle.
Matter cannot be created, or destroyed.
This law to me has always echoed the unique, often divisive, doctrine of Latter-Day Saint theology that man was in the beginning with God, and that intelligence, as well as matter, are eternal elements of the universe.
I noticed studying this evening that the revelation in Doctrine & Covenants 93 was given to Joseph Smith from our Lord Jesus Christ in 1833, 14 years prior to the formalization of the first law of thermodynamics.
I would say that is prophetic.
