@PaintedHorse14 @UofT For the pre-post analysis, we’d like at least a full year before (exactly as you said, to identify seasonal trends that exist in previous years). However, one of the analyses will be trends throughout the pandemic, so “a year pre-pandemic” isn’t required to participate

@NickMackx @UofT You don’t need to have had COVID to participate! We’re looking at how physical activity changed during the pandemic compared to before. I’d love to expand to other wearables but needed to restrict to one for this project due to $$ and time. I hope we can do so in the future, tho!

@COVFITstudy @UofT Interesting.👍 Suggestion: You should broaden this out to include different fitness watches. Many using android (Samsung), Garmin etc. I'd love to participate but I haven't been infected. Not sure if you need vascular/neurotropic damage as part of your study? (Just kidding) 😉

@COVFITstudy @ESLSteveD @UofT Sticking with Apple watch as the only data source is likely to skew towards a wealthier demographic. Including Fitbit data, should provide much broader cross-section of the population. My 2¢ worth....

We had to limit to 1 type of device & chose AW due to popularity & larger range of baseline physical activity among users (vs. Fitbit/Garmin, which we expected were more popular among ppl active/trying to be more active). Unfortunately this limits economic diversity
