Congratulations to Julia Sharp for receiving The American Society of Agronomy Presidential Award! Her research group's contributions have taken many forms and helped guide ASA members through decades of change, starting with punch cards and SAS and ending with cloud computing.

Congrats to MAS Data Science alum JD Drumheller for being named one of the winners in the 2021 ASA Statistics and Environment Section’s data challenge! His winning project was titled: “Predicting tree species distributions in Colorado forests using climate models.” Cheers!

Congrats to Piotr Kokoszka and Haonan Wang for receiving an NSF grant! Motivated by threats to fleets of heavy vehicles, the research will develop statistical methodology that will help create algorithms for real time detection of malicious attacks on large scale operations.
