Easy to re-imagine how this sort of set up could change the pastoral landscape for the better!

Taking it to another level to restore farmed landscapes to multi-functional landscapes more in harmony with nature. We should see a lot more of this if Landscape Recovery is well funded. Not a threat, but an opportunity for farmers to give back….and be contented!

@KirstieMAllsopp What Labour never acknowledge is that those in the South have to service massive mortgages to have a family home. As property is so much cheaper in Scotland and the North they have a far better standard of living with more disposal income than equivalent workers in the South.

If Rachel Reeves thinks someone with a house worth £600K is “wealthy” they why doesn’t she have the guts to lower the inheritance tax threshold? At present only 4% of Estates pay IHT.

@herdyshepherd1 That will be epic. Good mix of Cactus guards and big timber tree cages will produce a diverse landscape in the near future and gives hope for the distant future. We could do this over significant areas of poor grazing land. So much better than plantation spruce.

With an amazingly supportive landlord, we’ve been involved in restoring a whole hillside near to where we live A mixture of creating wood pasture/savannah type habitat, wetland restoration, and regenerative grazing It’s going to be EPIC

@cutlerstom It will supply human food much further into the future than if you don’t manage it well. Win for your wallet win for the future generations…add some habits and forage for insects and birds on top. Anyhow l believe you could graze it?

Sad sign of the times when this “crop” - a one year fallow with cover crops - which supplies no human food, will be by far the best paying crop on the farm this year. Doing good for the soil, insects and birds for sure - but food is too cheap!

@MalHay @JeremyClarkson Politics and vested interests getting in the way? As a cattle farmer l couldn’t care less if we vaccinated. What’s the risk from exporting carcasses? I assume live export is the issue and l don’t think we should do that anyway! Tb test results here tomorrow!

@JeremyClarkson Why the hell have they not found a test to differentiate between cattle that have been vaccinated against TB and those with the disease - this is from 2012 - notice the last paragraph...
