@Telstra You’re missing the point, your coverage has been getting worse, not better, even with 3G turned off. Low/no signals where towers are in line of sight. Plenty of people experiencing issues, you need to get out the office and talk to people in the rural community’s.

@CaddyYP We provide coverage to more than 99% of the population, we've invested billions with a focus on regional coverage, and cover more than 1 millions square kms more than anyone else. Australia is big, it will take time, we continue to work on it. - Cas

@Telstra your coverage is garbage, you can’t claim 1bar 4G as coverage when it doesn’t bloody work 🤬 Calls are constantly dropping out or not even dialling, meanwhile iPad has 4bar 4G on Optus. Can see both towers at Moonta, line of sight. Agery SA 5558.

@Telstra This has been the case consistently for 18+ months, doesn’t sound like an individual experience to me. Get out the office and talk to others in the area and you’ll soon find out it’s a common issue, all over the country in rural areas.

@CaddyYP Naturally coverage will vary between locations, time, devices and even providers - it's not expected that networks will all match. Your individual experience depends on many more factors than just the network though. DM for more info. - Cas

@PBoutsalis Carfentrazone, Glyphosate & Outright 770 Terrador, Paraquat & Outright 770 Previously used Aliance when it was available. Could replace it with Guerrilla but it doesn’t contain enough amitrole. Urugan where possible and looking forward to using Alion in the future.

Hey, broadacre growers. What are some typical fenceline brews you are using around paddock boundaries? Thanks. Peter

GPA has an important role in aiding the coordination, management and delivery of industry minor use permits that help grain producers more effectively control various pests, weeds and diseases.

Over the last two days GPSA has participated in the National Mouse Group workshop in the Barossa, discussing the latest and best ways to forecast and control mouse plagues. It's an important topic that continues to impact grain producers & other commodity groups across the nation

@Nel_farms Modified spray shop batch unit. Pump chem mix in with batch unit pump. Fill the sprayer with clean water direct from the truck tank with the sprayers onboard 3” pump.

What are R series spray operators using for loading? Using the spray pump on machine to pull water and product in? Engine revving up seems over the top. Or using external nurse pump for water and spray pump for hopper? Batch plant for all ? Love to hear or see set ups. TIA

Hey @BOM_au can you forecast wind more accurately? This is getting pretty frustrating, especially when trying to plan/complete summer spraying. PS Is it too much to ask for a Radar on the lower EP too?

@theGRDC Hey @theGRDC these are not up to date, the ‘Grains Harvesting Operations Table’ has reverted back to FDI 35 this season. FBI 40 is not being used.

@venningj @bruzo2 @agbyte_leet @GrainProducerSA We have some excellent farm units on the YP, best in the state in my opinion. We had a fire start just under the limit last harvest, dozens of farm units and CFS couldn’t pull the fire up in standing wheat crop, only stopped when it reached harvested lentil stubble.

@bruzo2 @agbyte_leet @CaddyYP @GrainProducerSA Why is this even a discussion? We have never been more equiped to fight fires. 3000L trucks vs 500L ute-mounted. Aerial bombers are more accessible. I’m not aware of a fire started by farmer harvesting outside code. If you open up your mind too much your brains start to fall out

Good to see the CFS are doing there best to protect the community. Unlike @GrainProducerSA recklessly pushing limit; can’t change fire behaviour, that’s a fact, so listen to the facts being presented by i.e. a formula that’s based on a 10m reading.
Quinton McCallum@QJMcCallum

Latest on the SA cease harvest threshold. The CFS says it will continue to work with industry and government to find a resolution to the cease harvest threshold that supports farming communities and protects life, property and environment. @stockjournal stockjournal.com.au/story/8305689/…

@agbyte_leet @GrainProducerSA Use the CSIRO formula to calculate the example below (old chart). If using a 10m wind speed, the chart is about right at just over FDI 35 (38), however if you calculate it as 2m, it’s FDI 57. Clearly the old chart was developed using the corrected 2m CSIRO formula.

@agbyte_leet @GrainProducerSA Who said the conversion was not used in the grains industry? GPSA? The FDI calculation is what CSIRO developed, including the conversion. So you know better than the CSIRO? And then why does the chart not reflect a 2m uncorrected reading (it reflects a corrected 2m and/or 10m).
