@CribbageForum @MahanEsfahani Indeed. Surely doesn’t need to be either/or. If Tovey were born 100 years later or in another country, perhaps he’d have been equally brilliant in areas covered by Taruskin? They might even not particularly want to start a fight if they met in an imaginary afterlife…
