If you take a patient to Nyeri General Hospital, there’s a 90% chance they won’t make it. I’m not lying. My grandmother died there last year simple wound, turned into a nightmare. They delayed care so long, the infection spread. Every time I hear Nyeri PGH, I’m filled with grief because people are dying from neglect. This has to change.

Anti-D has gradually risen from 6500 to now 8-9k. Two shots amount to nearly 20k.
SHA's maximum maternity cover is 30k (and this is for a CS delivery).
Refusing to cover Rhesus neg moms is downright cruel. The only universal thing about SHA ni vile wanatubeba ufala.

Even after indicating that the mother is Rhesus negative, SHA is not paying for Anti-D. Not at 28wks, not after delivery. Makes for a very uncomfortable and confusing discussion btwn provider and moms/moms-to-be.

Patients must have access to clean water, every hospital must have a borehole to avoid shortage of water.
The cost of drilling and installing a borehole is less than 20 million.

The Senate Committee on Health, chaired by Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago, along with Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka and Baringo Senator Kiprono Chemitei, conducted an oversight visit at Nakuru Level 5 Hospital. The committee highlighted a critical shortage of medical staff, noting that only two doctors are managing up to 1,000 patients daily, which they described as unsustainable. They also urged the facility to adopt solar power to reduce high electricity costs. Ambulance had no fuel .Turns out he was a relative to Cs health. He showed up at 2am to ask why I was referring him: I just asked him how many CT scans were there
