This summer I counted about 70 tents close to the bike path in Lincoln Park many of which still exist. I live in one of the nicest areas of Chicago. I just had to abort a mid day walk on the lakefront because I felt unsafe after 3 encounters in 10 minutes. I should be able to walk alone mid day on the lakefront.
