I've got to admit it... This is a Badass Notebook! Found the BEST way to source materials is sell what I'd buy for myself. Can't go wrong with these gaming laptops, performance for price these days; You can throw just about anything at them. Crypto mining at today's hash rates... Probably not. Who knows? The question of "are you mining in this structure?" may soon be on insurance forms.

Better Systems to Make Old Systems Irrelevant This isn't an across the board concept however, When it comes to systems... The What If concept is in full effect. For example, Check out my previous two posts. This asset in itself provided a database interface. It was a single point of failure. So you know what we did? Fixed the source! Could have stopped there, problem solved. Instead, modulated the interface to other device so it's always online. Databased perpetually covered. Now here's the thing... This system has been running fine since 2014! That's 10+ years! This isn't just a run the install the program on another asset style deployment. No No No... This is software from 2001. Just on the brink of a GUI interface VS a DOS app. These 12 year old notes came in handy. This is just one example of where an organized archive has saved clients immense time and resources. Moral of the story: Take Good Notes!

For good measure! This procedure checks for corruption after correcting a power issue. It takes 1hr or so... I can't just sit around staring at a screen. There's always more work to do. So we found a side quest.

Granted, this build is 10y/o... Hybrid component placement without making hardware proprietary. And the forshadowing cable trunks behind the mainboard.

⚡️GM!⚡️ What do you do when you wake up at 3AM? Like fully recharged. Skip the coffee recharged. Funny thing is I used to run on coffee, don't even need it, just like a cup or two in the morning. Back to the message, what do you do when you wake up at 3AM on a Sunday? I'll tell you what I do... Get some work done! But it's not just work, You know when you go to the boutique for cologne or parfume and they got those espresso bean right... Palate cleanser. Not literally. Probably don't taste it. But metaphorically, work for an hour, go for a night drive, find a cool new spot, deliver a project... Speaking of cool pictures, check out this night view of a helipad overlook!

I Like Crypto! Not from a gambling standpoint. Yeah long term can work but where crypto really shines is international travel and transfers. You can work with someone half way across the world & commerce in USDC / USDT with easy offramps. Travel & your moneys always with you globally. However, when I see the word Crypto on a client asset it's 🚨Alarm Bells🚨 Now all I did was take this company name (Mainstay Crypto LLC) from a junk PDF app and plug it into a search engine... Output: Company has been linked to a widespread malware campaign. What I don't get is how is this company operating in the US spreading malware? 3rd world country, that's a different story. My hunch is tie things up in the legal system and run the campaign as long as possible. By the time the company's shut down or goes bankrupt; moneys been made.

It's always nice to switch things up a bit. Out of the Windows world and into the Mac world today. You know what I noticed? Mac is taking on Windows settings that Microsoft has been actively purging. I'll be posting a more detailed writeup on this soon.

This external SSD is insane! Not just for large batch data; The browser appdata alone used to take at least 10 to 15 minutes now reduced to what... A minute? This legit shaves the data management process down signifigantly!

Here's my theory... There's a Dunkin Donuts in my town that is notorious for a long drive thru line. To the point where corporate even tried to fix it with a construction project to extend the line. In my opinion it's an efficiency issue because marketing must be killing it. That's not here nor there, When you're sitting in a queue waiting for an order what else are you going to do? Well a lot of thinking. Which got me to this 5 Minutes X 271 Business days = 3 FULL 8HR business days per year. Now this queue can easily be 10min, 15min! That's anywhere between 3 and 9 business days I can save making my own joe. Lets bring this full circle! Yesterday I posted on the 100% price increase for a portable SSD that was purchased just 3 months ago. You could call this self suggestive marketing. You're your own worst enemy! So I start looking at transfer rates and here's the questions I asked myself: 1⃣Will bring more value to clients? 2⃣Will save me time? 3⃣Can I use this as an extension service? 🍀Will speed up my operations? Price came last. Long story short, it made sense. So I bought it! Now bear in mind when you look at the pix and be like "40min xfer?!?" This was 50GB of data connected to a USB 2.0 port. That breaks down into a nightly spin drive backup of... 5 or 6 hours vs. 40min through SSD Again, that's a 2.0 port I'll be posting more examples after we visit a few more clients.
