Britain has less than a week of gas supplies in storage, as temperatures plunge. Gas is currently generating 55% of our electricity, wind 9%. And we’re having to import 14% of our electricity needs from six other European countries.

@GlowstoneKatie @Conservatives 51% majority is the irrevocable will of the people, according to the last government, and labour won by more than that. Or are we saying conservatives have double standards?

So British farmers want us to 'Buy British', do they ? Very few of these tractors are. When they do, we might.

@hall_2024 @clairebubblepop The right hand consistently voted for reduced salaries for NHS staff, forcing them into food banks. The right forced staff to work. That they won't do it for their millionaire farmers is telling.

@clairebubblepop Since when did the right not care about people using food banks?Stop trying to label conservative people as evil. You conflate 2 different subjects to try and prove your point. It makes no sense. They don't withhold food. They just can't produce as much when the land is gone.

Said it before and I’ll say it again… It’s WILD how farmers can threaten to withhold food and that’s absolutely fine. But when NHS workers are striking for fair pay and a safer NHS, the right completely lose their minds. We have nurses using food banks, the right don’t care. /1

Andrew, it's not just about numbers - it's about the quality of growth. More homes in the South doesn't solve the systemic issues plaguing the North. We need investment in infrastructure, social equality and tech to balance the scales. If we don't address the root causes, we’re just shifting the problem around. #LevellingUp #HousingCrisis #EconomicGrowth #Accountability #FutureOfPolitics

Labour wants London and the south east of England to build far more homes than it proposed in the summer — while the targets for other regions have reduced. So much for levelling up. Labour sees house building as its main way of increasing economic growth. In that case growth will be largely a southern phenomenon. Sorry the North. To meet the 1.5 million new homes number by the end of the parliament England needs 370,000 new homes on average each year. Not going to happen.

@Conservatives You complained that you couldn't course correct from the last government after 14 years, and you expect them to do it in half a year? Are you lying, incompetent, or think British people will swallow your bollocks?

Can Keir Starmer fix the immigration crisis? The PM accused the Tories of running an 'open borders experiment' after it was revealed they let almost 1 million extra people into the UK. He's promised to get both legal and illegal migration down. Do you think he can deliver?

Should baby formula be free for all? Campaigners want parents to have universal access to formula milk through the NHS after the price skyrocketed in recent years. Do you think it's wrong that parents have to pay to feed their children?

UK government borrowing £6.7bn more so far this financial year than was forecast by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR). Public sector net borrowing excluding banks stood at £79.6bn in the six months to September, which was £1.2bn more the same point last year. For the month of September, total public sector net borrowing was £16.6bn, which was lower than expectations of £17.5bn; but £1.2bn more than a year ago and third biggest September deficit since records began in 1993. Public borrowing for August was revised down from £13.7bn to £13bn. Public sector net debt excluding public sector banks reached around 98.5pc of UK GDP.

Are you happy to pay more tax? The Chancellor has been told she must increase taxes to try and raise £25 billion if she wants to avoid returning the country to austerity. Would you be happy to pay more tax to fill the black hole?
