Right call. The batch before was from Gallego's area, but it's about the margin by which Lake ran behind Trump. It's too much to make up.

For those awaiting #AZ results in the US Senate race…here is what to watch for: 1) How do subsequent updates from Maricopa county perform. Democrats are more represented in the remaining ballots but watch for how Independents perform. In this mornings ~15k update, Trump/Harris broke even, with Gallego beating Lake by 10%. 2) How does Pima perform. We have no idea on the partisan make up of the Pima county ballots remaining. Republicans were a lot slower to return ballots in Pima county so it is a big unknown if remaining ballots over perform current margins in the county. 3) Lots of rural votes remain where Reps typically over perform but final 25k ballots from Pinal county last night only saw Lake win by 5%. Race likely won’t be finalized by this evening it we will know a lot more tonight. #Election2024

Good Morning! We will likely know a lot more today and simultaneously not enough to have the #AZ US Senate race be called. Wanted to make sure we set expectations…will be back with more updates throughout the day. No substantive change in ballots remaining since last night. #Election2024

Pima County Election Day Update: As of 6:30pm MDT (8:30pm EDT) *Will post one more update after polls close* Total - 69,242 Rep - 25,078 (36.22%) Dem - 17,434 (25.18%) Oth - 26,827 (38.74%) Reps +7,644 more ballots than Dems (was 7,665 at the 5:30pm update). Reps decreased slightly in the last hour but maintain an overall lead. This only includes in-person #ElectionDay voting and not early ballots dropped off (yes, #AZ allows that).

Very important county to watch in #AZ. Growing county that has trended strongly for Republicans over the past 10 years. Always lagged in turnout but on pace for record turn out in 2024. #electionday2024
