I really wanted to write something lighter this week.

Seems like the admin wants _so badly_ to conduct mass surveillance on Americans, that they are willing to shout publicly about how mean Anthropic is for not letting them do it. Or maybe the admin wants to intimidate us into knowing we could be mass surveilled. Either seems bad

@dez_blanchfield @sjgadler Yes. I always love the first snowfall, but even with people to do the shoveling/plowing it gets to be too much. I got home to NH after a month in BCN and the show pile between my parking space and front door was 3 meters high.

@DeepStorageNet @sjgadler winter is something I "travel to places for" so I can "travel away from the cold" when I'm done skiiing for indulging in some "chilled out" photography or trekking.. ( chortle )

If we somehow end up putting a relative of the Shah back in charge of Iran think about how full circle this all goes:
We toppled the democratically elected regime in 1953 and put the shah in power.The Shah's policies lead to blowback which brings us the Islamic Republic in 1979.
