My @DigiCordBot reaches 20K global users after 8 months If I had listened to these feedbacks, I would have killed it long ago: "Not many people use Discord" "It's just an AI wrapper" "Should make a web version, it will be easier to market" … A friend of mine said something like this: "When making a product, just focus on yourself" (I've paraphrased this sentence because we talk to each other in a very informal way 😂) It means focusing on what your product will deliver, and what your vision is right from the start, to stay determined until you achieve it, or until the market proves otherwise (when you're wrong, you have to admit you're WRONG). Listening to feedback and improving or pivoting is right, but it has to be the right people, the right time. Those feedback givers aren't really your target audience, so why bother trying to convert them? I chose the Discord niche after realizing there were only a few AI chatbots on this platform, and they were also quite simple, I was confident I could beat them if I did it properly, the competition is much lower than on other platforms. I started with just over a dozen users, clinging to them like leeches, asking what needs to be improved, what features need to be added, what's not satisfactory, etc., then 20, 50, 1K,... these people use Discord daily, they have real needs, I take good care of them, they will recommend it to others, that's all. Not a penny spent on marketing!

Introducing the "basic" DigiCord AI feature that has been keeping me busy all day: "PDF ANALYSIS" 🚀 It's called "basic" because it should have been available from day one, having been on my to-do list for quite a while. But after some research, I found it too challenging and abandoned it. 🤣 I was motivated to dust it off only after a user request the other day. I had to use three methods to fully read the PDF file content: 1. Scanning regular text: This one is easy, nothing to discuss 2. Reading structured data such as tables and special characters (mathematical formulas) 3. Reading images: To optimize costs, I applied OCR to read them first (like scanned PDFs). For regular images like charts, landscapes, or people (OCR is useless), I used the Vision API to describe them (this incurs a cost). Almost 99% of PDF cases will be fully read! 👌 I thought it wouldn't be difficult, but it was surprisingly challenging. 😆 Finally finished! 💪 #buildinpublic
