The clock is ticking for Social Security. A newly released Trustees Report projects the program's retirement trust fund will run out of reserves in 2032. Once that happens, incoming revenue would cover only about 78% of scheduled benefits. The report also says recent tax changes are expected to shrink future revenue from taxes paid on Social Security benefits, adding to the program's long-term funding challenges.
