There is so little attention to the achievements in Islamabad in the news. But it’s the basis for future negotiations.
This meeting is what will be in future history books. The US blockade after will likely soon be forgotten as a minor detail.

Meaning , "a lot of people are voting". So it's a failed translation. However, here is the thing... I don't see how many votes would mean people want him to stay, if people were fine with him they would stay home, but they probably vote to get him gone!
