Could you limit this feature to accounts that actually focus on local content?
X is not just about politics. Many people, especially in IT like developers and designers, are focused on global topics. I work in IT myself, and everything I do is worldwide.
I travel from country to country, and I don’t follow local politics or local news. Most of the time I don’t even know the language or what’s going on locally, and I’m not interested in it.
Because of that, I really don’t want local content in my feed. I’m here to connect with the global IT community, not to see content tied to a specific country.
It would make much more sense if this only applied to people who actually want to see and engage with local content.
