While the US and Israel were preparing for war with Iran, Mossad chief David Barnea presented Netanyahu with a plan to mobilize the Iranian opposition, sparking riots and other uprisings that could even lead to the collapse of the Iranian government, writes the "New York Times".
Netanyahu approved the plan. He then privately "expressed disappointment" that Mossad's promises had not been fulfilled even three weeks after the war began.
