@Explorerwong @ShivamVahia Yeah, but a weak, protein-deficient population will be less hardy than one with a better nutrition in the event of a famine or some other natural phenomenon. I refuse to call it as a catastrophe.

@LifeAfterFI @ShivamVahia Come on... Not eating eggs will in no way reduce the population... But I agree with the overpopulation point and majority being free loaders

@ShivamVahia I sincerely hope not. I eat eggs. But given India's overpopulation, anything that helps reduce it in self-induced (vs. External) ways is welcome. I hope eggs will continue to be taboo for many.

@atulkasbekar It's not just rules. It's about the pitch largely... But what I'm surprised is batsmen are able to hit even widely swinging balls for boundaries whereas they suffer in England or SA

Frankly alarming where T20 cricket is heading Teams chasing down 240-260 wt overs to spare is, for me at least, absurd Why would a young cricketer want to be a bowler in this mindless slog fest? Need some tweaks in the short format game to even things out between bat n ball For a start, remove the one bouncer per over rule What else?

@IndianTintin_ How can chicken's period be veg? It is potential carrier of future chicken, hence considered chicken. Also it is a waste product (when not fertilized), hence considered tamas, unlike milk which is nourishing food for calf. So proper veg people and sattva sadhaks avoid it.

He is right. Nutritionally, Egg is a multivitamin pill. And biologically speaking, it is a chicken's period. Could be thought of as disgusting but certainly vegetarian. Vegetarians who eat eggs and dairy are referred to as Ovo-Lacto-Vegetarians. It is absolutely a kind of vegetarianism.
Krish Ashok@krishashok

India has a strange blind spot when it comes to eggs. For starters, we have, against all common sense, declared it non-veg, which automatically comes attached with moral baggage, and then on top of that, even in families that eat meat, the idiotic idea that eggs are “heating” (taseer) reduces its daily/weekly consumption.

In money management, performance matters more than philosophy. 1] PPFAS became popular because of performance, not just philosophy. If performance slips, investors move fast. 2] Marcellus PMS gained AUM through strong marketing, but weak performance didn't sustain it. 3] Quantum Mutual Fund has a solid philosophy, but returns lagged, so AUM stayed small. 4] Quant Mutual Fund delivered strong returns from 2020-2024 and attracted big inflows. Now facing pressure. 5] Motilal Oswal saw strong performance in 2024-2025 and gained AUM. Now slowing. Performance drives flows. Flows drive AUM.

@EgoEraser99 @moneyworks4u_fa Actually Native AI folks ( young startups) will have an edge. But they can't scale and don't have relationships with large enterprises. Old IT orgs with relationships which can buy these startups/partner with them effectively will win.

@moneyworks4u_fa Agree somewhat but imo the real opportunity capture might be done by SMID IT players - due to their niche, nimbleness, product, agility, presence in right segments, IP etc & not necessarily by wipros & Infosys of the worlds

Nifty IT is down 27% from there. It broke the 200 WMA convincingly. The the meltdown after Feb caught us by surprise but we have caught every single turning point for Nifty IT in the past 4.5 yrs. Back in 2022 I had suggest Nifty IT is going to be range bound for many years and that is how it has panned out. Despite the prevailing bearishness I believe Nifty IT can make a new ATH sometime in the next 12-18 months. Whether its a start of new bull market or not we will know at that time.

Nifty IT has broken below its 200 DMA. I have an extreme bearish bias, but I feel we can see 200 WMA sometime in 2025 and it will break that also and that will mark multi-year bear market for IT sector. Its a permanent albatross around Nifty's neck.

@atul1602 Agree. But a practical question. I have 2 goals. Retirement and child education ( almost same end year). If I use the same funds for both goals, how to demarcated them if I'm using the same platform for both these goals.?

This weekend - one financial task only. Open your mutual fund statement. Check - Is every SIP mapped to a specific goal? Is every fund right for that goal? Is nomination updated? Most people have SIPs running with no goal attached. Random investing = random results. Goal based investing = financial freedom. 20 minutes. This Sunday. Could change everything. 💡 #MutualFunds #SIP #personalfinance #Goalplanning @mehul_n_trivedi @valueclarity @tirthankardas81 @AmitabhaDash @Dashytwo

@drsunita02 They should not only live away from each other. They should also not impose themselves on the newly married couple. Be available if they need but not keep visiting, forcing them to visit relatives, etc.

Both sets of parents should live a little away from each other. For the sake of sanity of the young couple. Don't even make the mistake of keeping all 4 parents in the same house. Atleast not in the beginning of marital life.

Investors who started mutual funds in the last 18–20 months might feel : “Is this just another product selling dreams, not performance?” Here’s a reality check 👇 This portfolio started on 6 March 2023 Stayed invested. Didn’t miss a single SIP. Even after phases of underperformance, it’s now sitting on a decent CAGR 📈 Lesson? Mutual funds don’t fail — impatience does. Investing needs time ⏳ Disc: No fund reco. #MutualFunds #Investing #SIP #Nifty #StockMarket #GIFTNIFTY

@maestro_torero @jopriyu267 Yep. That's a nice thing to do. But expressing or even just feeling ( without expressing) gratitude is as much for yourself as it is for the other person. In fact it's more for yourself than for the other...

@jopriyu267 And that’s why, in America, we have Thanksgiving Day to give thanks to such people. I for one, call up such people on Thanksgiving day (wherever they may be or wherever I may be) and thank them. In the end, feeling grateful doesn’t mean any thing if not expressed.

I’ve been through my share of bad phases, and if anything, they clarified me. I realized I am, at my core, a deeply suspicious person. That instinct, cynical as it may sound, has protected me more than once. It has kept me from walking blindly into situations that would have cost me far more. But alongside that, I noticed something else. The people who helped me the most were often strangers. People who didn’t know me, had no stake in my life, nothing to gain, nothing to lose. And yes, I understand it is easier to be kind when you are not entangled, when there is no history, no baggage. But that is precisely why it matters. Because in those moments, it would have been just as easy, easier even, to look away, to remain indifferent, to choose convenience over compassion. And yet, they did not. I do not overlook that.

About internaitonal funds, I wanted to buy a Nasdaq index fund but none of those were taking fresh subscriptions. Few were open but had restrictions of 2Lakh per month SIP or something like that which did not work out for me... Only few were open for lump sum investment. Finally invested in - Axis Global Innovation Fund of Fund during Feb 2026 Along with the Nasdaq biggies like Nvidia, Google it also invests in companies like TSMC and ASML outside USA. So far, very happy with the performance. Lets see how it goes.

When it comes to Mutual Funds. I did one change recently in beginning of 2026 - Sold Nifty Index Fund and Bought an International Fund ------- I could not have been happier. The Index heavyweight are more or less low growth behemoths.. no point in wasting my time there. -------------------- Next change - Start selling PPFAS flexicap. That fund has become too big and too defensive for my taste.. Will shift the money to existing midcap and international funds (if subscription is still allowed)

🚨📢This post is for everyone who was heavy on Indian equities and missed the Gold / Global Equities rally. 🟢What you should do, now? My suggestion is to follow the strategy which you were following before. That is - stay Indian Equity heavy. Till the point, Indian Equities haven't done relatively better. Markets work in cycle, at some point in next 2-4 years, this phase will come, when Indian Equities have done better than Global markets. At that point, take a call - if you want to diversify (in Gold and Global Equities) or not. 🔴What you should not do, now? Change your strategy just to chase returns and start investing heavily in Gold and Global Equities now may not the right way.
