This is my usual reminder to everyone that cancer doesn’t look the same. Some gain weight due to steroids needed to save us, keep hair (not all chemo causes hair loss), or may appear healthy on the outside. Respect each other please 😊 @ThanksCancer

👋 Another medical adventure has started for me. Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 😭The chronic hives, extreme body paint, and fatigue are all related. Now the healing can begin but I’m so mad and sad for another thing to fight #rheumatoidarthritus

Ive officially finished my 2nd year of my PhD 🥳 It’s been hard AF. I’ve even gotten disability accommodations at school due to cancer brain fog. AND I was inducted into an honors society 🌻Now for some R&R 💙 #cancer #BreastCancer @ThanksCancer

I was also in the hospital this week for an allergic reaction with throat swelling. The IV Benadryl was a perk but otherwise 0/10 recommend 👎

As we near the 1 year anniversary of Jason’s passing I can’t help but feel an immense sadness still. He will forever be in my thoughts as someone who positively changed our world 💙 @ThanksCancer

Hi everyone. It’s Shannon-Jason’s spouse aka Mrs. Canuck. I wanted to share the news of his passing here as it was such a major part of his journey. Jason passed away Friday, April 5th peacefully with his Dad and I by his side. Jason was an amazing human and I feel so grateful to have had him as my partner for 8 years. He has impacted so many people which is evident with all of these mentions and messages. He gave us all a masterclass in grit, compassion, empathy, grace and humour right to the end. He will be missed and never forgotten by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. FUCK CANCER Love, Shannon

✨3 year cancerversary ✨ 3 years ago the words “cancer” blasted into my life. An allergic reaction to chemo killed me but I came back. Mental health has tried to take me out but I fought back. I’ve found strength I never knew before. And I’m proud of that 💙🌻 #breastcancer
