It’s weird how historicized, canonical figures in the arts are all flattened in the popular imagination as having lived in some strange, undifferentiated 19th century. Even the great modernists, who definitionally dwelled within a thoroughly industrialized technological paradigm, are all conceived of as some vague Victorian types who wrote by candlelight.

@alyraejepsen @datadriven_tdoc Something like 4 % of adolescent girls were calling themselves "trans" at one point. No way do 4 % of adolescent girls have medical dysphoria. The medical community should have known it's normal for girls to go through a phase where they hate being female and want to opt out.

@Floatinginwaves @timecaptales No, that is true, and I"m thahnkful Mr. Bloom shared his opinion. A best selling book may not indicate a high quality book, but then again I'm still sure that J.K. was not fazed by Mr. Bloom's criticism.

Not every movie needs a super serious, deep story with heavy emotional arcs or "important" themes. Some movies, especially animated family ones like these, are allowed to just be pure fun: colorful, fast-paced, packed with references, and built like a video game come to life. The critics keep treating the Mario movies like they’re supposed to be the next Inside Out or Toy y Story, demanding tight plotting, profound character growth, and cinematic "weight." But that’s not what this is. It’s a celebration of Nintendo’s world. These movies resonate perfectly with their target audience, the critics are just out of touch.

@Floatinginwaves @timecaptales The book is a literary nonsense. The kids never read this crap on their own if not feed as acid by their stupid parents. The book teaches nothing of value and disconects from a real life. The "wonderland", kids do not want live in and nothing to do with.

@timecaptales He is an idiot. She built an imaginative universe better then in Alice in Wonderland, which an acid for kid's brain. In her universe and ecosystem the children want to live and experience an adventure learning how to grow up together, mature and how to fight injustice and evil.
