This video has been making the rounds all over social media.
It's deeply sad and disturbing.
But it's also something Toronto Police should be very proud of. This officer demonstrated remarkable patience and restraint.
This could have easily escalated and resulted in a fatality. But instead the officer de-escalates as much as he can.
The man is unwell and probably not getting the health care he needs.
But at least everybody walks away from this alive thanks to this officer's professionalism.

According to Cairo 24, a police officer shoved team manager Ibrahim Hassan while shouting: “BACK OFF! BACK OFF!” Ibrahim held his ground saying: “DON’T PUSH ME!” A member of Egypt’s coaching staff then stepped in and confronted the officer: “ARE YOU CRAZY?” The confrontation quickly ESCALATED. Ibrahim had to be restrained by Trezeguet and other staff members as the officer pulled out handcuffs and appeared ready to make an arrest before tensions eventually cooled.
