This weekend was largely for pruning out many of the bad reports, I want to pivot now to the BEST reports. If you are a hunter and after seeing the reports we've hailed and those we've dismissed think yours is an absolute banger... Please post it. It's becoming a very real possibility that we will not be able to review 100% of the reports despite obvious best efforts. We will absolutely have done the majority of them but may not get to completion so I'd like to make sure we get to the best reports

The entire gaming ecosystem seems to be lagging behind more popular narratives like AI and memes. Below I expand on this new gaming L1 and their novel blockchain architecture while exploring their innovative token mechanics and cover how you can get ready for its launch. #G_G - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 1. TLDR • Tabi is a modular gaming chain built using the Cosmos SDK with multi-VM compatibility (EVM, SVM or MoveVM) enabled by PolymorphismVM. • It uses a ParallelBFT to enable parallel consensus to achieve 4x faster consensus. • Introduces a novel $veTokenomics mechanism for the gaming L1 to align all key stakeholders though bribes and vote gauges. • GTM includes starting with Asia to onboard the 1.5b gaming population + tap on rich IPs and cultural powerhouses. • $TABI token and mainnet launch is scheduled to launch in Q3 2024. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2. Blockchain Architecture • Omni execution layer: Polymorphism VM with multi-vm-compatibility (EVM, SVM, MoveVM) + easy onboarding for traditional developers as they can build using any traditional languages and frameworks. • Modular consensus layer: ParallelBFT consensus is used to propose and organise blocks in parallel. This allows >200k TPS per instance with instant finality and parallel execution. • Modular security layer: Service can choose to use protocols like @eigencloud or @babylon_chain to enable shared security. • Parallelism Sharding: dApps or games deployed as a standalone service + independent node (customise their own consensus mechanism and execution environment). Collaboration over Competition With the PolymorphismVM, a key component of the Omni Execution Layer, Tabi enables traditional developers to use any crypto native VMs or create custom runtime environments with any language and framework (mimicking traditional development run-times). Key Features: • Enhanced UX: Customisable gas tokens and payment methods to simplify signing and onboarding. • Flexible Credentials: Supports various login methods, including wallets, DIDs, and SSO logins. • Language Agnostic: Allows development in any language and framework. Mass adoption and integration PolymorphismVM simplifies blockchain development by removing complex concepts like gas fees and private keys - this hopefully promotes mass adoption of gaming devs. It also enables other chains to support diverse language environments, easing the transition for traditional developers. Token Details The ticker for Tabi is $TABI with a max supply of 10b, and 40% of it will be allocated to node mining rewards. (a) Token utility • Native gas token on Tabi L1 • Muh governance • Staking to get $veTABI • Incentives (b) Staking • $veTABI: Token holders (community) can lock $TABI for $veTABI for gauge voting on the Tabi ecosystem (similar to Curve) —> top voted games get higher rewards incentivising game developers. • Supervisor Nodes: $TABI can also be staked with supervisor nodes to earn block rewards. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 5. Flywheel Effect With their tokenomics structure, Tabi effectively creates a twin-flyweel effect: • $TABI and $veTABI strengthens ecosystem participation from both the community and developers to promote a healthy economy. • All stakeholders are incentivised to be active and participate in the ecosytem —> aligning everyones’ interest. • $veTABI gives users voting rights to support their favourite games. The flywheel: users vote on top games —> better games built —> distribute more rewards to users —> more users enter the ecosystem. The in-economy flywheel kickstarts a bigger flywheel for Tabi: as more users and better games enter the ecosystem —> Tabi can attract the best games + vampire attack games from other ecosystems —> this brings in even more users + node operators + game developers which increase the demand for $TABI + stake $veTABI for more voting rights —> token does well which will increase the value for $veTABI and continue the in-economy loop —> on-chain revenue is also directed to game developers which ensures sustainability. This brings the concept of bribes and vote gauges popularised in DeFi to the gaming ecosystem, another strategy compared to doing a vanilla NFT mint and gaming token launch. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 6. GTM • Start with Asia where there is a huge gaming culture with rich IPs and cultural influences (e.g. anime). • Asia also has 1.5b gamers (half of the entire world’s gaming population) and China, Korea and Japan remains powerhouses of games. • Onboard strategic partners such as incubators + Asia-based gaming studios + gaming guilds. The Tabi testnet + Voyager campaign is currently live for users to interact with the chain. There are currently ~20 games building on Tabi as of current time of writing. Traction • About ~20 games onboard that will be deploying on Tabi. • Leveraging other ecosystems’ communities to find PMF (e.g. Tabi’s first incubated + flagship game @Wizzwoods_game, is currently in testing on the @berachain testnet). • Tabi testnet: Over 20K DAUs, 4m wallets and >86m transactions. • Launched the Voyager campaign aiming to bring more users to the ecosystem through social media onboarding + invitations. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 8. Valuation Comps (30 May 2024) With recent L1 fundraises, we expect Tabi to raise a fundraising round at a valuation between $200-$500m FDV. Exploring a tier 1 listing strategy would imply a minimum $1b FDV upon listing. Comping it against other gaming L1s: • Immutable ($IMX): $3.3b MC / $4.5b FDV • Beam ($BEAM): $1.3b MC / $1.6b FDV • Ronin ($RON): $980m MC / $3b FDV There is definitely (potential) significant upside for Tabi with the right execution, but must be noted that incumbents already have traction with users + games + developer community. Personal Thoughts (a) Upsides • Beyond technical innovations, Tabi tries to introduce a sustainable economic model through user and developer alignment though its twin flywheel model. • Users and developers are seamlessly integrated with validator nodes (Supervisor Nodes) and this is powered by an incentivised governance mechanism ($veTokenomics). • Backed by big brands such as Binance Labs (potential entry into listing) and Animoca Brands (distribution + biggest gaming investor). • Differentiation amongst other gaming chains through being the first Cosmos gaming chain + $veTokenomics flywheel + partnerships with Eigenlayer + Babylon Finance. • $veTokenomics has the potential to align incentives of all stakeholders involved (players, game devs, and the chain). • Founder has a good track record of building projects, with his previous project managing to get listed on Binance with a peak FDV of $1.5b. (b) Downsides • Vampire attacking the market share dominance of Ronin, Beam and Immutable may prove to be an insurmountable task given they already have traction + stickiness. • Tabi could be seen as a very Asian centric ecosystem which makes it hard to penetrate western markets. • Introduction of $veTokenomics which is very complex and DeFi native may backfire since it targets a very niche audience (DeFi power users and whales). - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 11.
