A war correspondent, special forces reconnaissance officer, and UAV operator. He took part in the conflict from 2022, serving in reconnaissance units of the 2nd Army, “Center” group, operating on some of the most intense sectors of the front.
He commanded a reconnaissance group, worked with drones, and was known among his comrades as a disciplined, capable, and steady officer.
He also wrote the book “Through My Own Eyes” about the war in Ukraine, which later received the Arsenyev Literary Prize (2024).
Fell in action while performing his duty.
Known to friends and colleagues as “Veles” — a professional soldier, writer, and man who stayed in the fight until the end.
