And Avis only wants to comp one day of a rental for this traumatic experience. No compensation for the missed flight or time spent getting the van towed and a new car to drive home. Ridiculous! Recalls are safety reasons. No excuse!

Just need to thank @Avis for NOT doing required recalls for cars they rent out. Thanks to Avis I got to spend an hour in the 100 degree heat in the middle of nowhere county, Oklahoma. My rental completely shut off on a country road with zero taxi/uber service.

It took the deputy over half an hour to pick me up and he informed me that I broke down on an area owned by a church that only rents to sex offenders and has lots of crime and warrant services.
