We at Halopedia are sad to hear of the passing of author William C. Dietz, author of several novels including several original works alongside contributions to Star Wars and, most notable to us, Halo: The Flood. We share our best wishes to his friends and family.

To end our post, we'd like to share a quote from Dietz's website regarding how he viewed writing. Thank you for all the stories, Dietz!

@DanielHoll52755 @SgdBenjamin As I have already said, there have been different versions of the MK IV but so far and as far as I know none has been called as such [B]. Master Chief himself has used variants of the Mark IV but these don't stray far from the original design and as I said, they're not called [B]

@DiscussKing first one is a very early Paul Russel mockup, second one is a mysterious piece with an unused logo, was only able to find a weird AI upscaled image of it on Halopedia
