Walkers Sensations Chilli and Cocoa: It's ludicrous to suggest that chilli and cocoa could ever go with potatoes. But it works with style. Sweet, silky cocoa twirls across the tongue, chased by a hint of heat, while the potatoes offer an earthy bedrock. Remarkable. Rating: 9.1

#HowardsPlate tonight is pan fried salmon with crispy skin, minted new potatoes, and what I might call fondant leeks, browned in butter and steamed with dry white vermouth. Other than standing rounds of leek on end, the plating is not at all artful!
