Any attempt to close the Malacca Strait as is being suggested by some commentators (a pipe dream) will invite swift and sure retaliation from Mainland China (not the restaurant). They will not need an expeditionary force.
I understand venerable naval veterans debating strategic value of GNI. The econ viability of the transshipment hub is different. Why confuse strategic & commercial? It’ll be built by a company, not govt, and surely not the Navy. Nobody’ll invest 6-8 billion $ if it isn’t viable?
There’s little difference between critiquing the government or advising LoP Rahul Gandhi to modify his speaking, foreign travels & inaccessibility etc. Both sides have Bhakts who commence trolling senselessly. Each side needs to listen to criticism & advice.
Whether in Kerala, Tamil Nadu or Bengal, the first lesson of any election analysis is not to attack the voter. Instead, try to understand why they voted in the way they did, and learn and adapt.
They only point finger at their own Army.
