It was a real pleasure to welcome more than 450 participants to the 18th International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference here in Lyon. It’s not just about fake products - it’s a global threat with real consequences. As well as being linked to other illicit activities such as money laundering and smuggling, IP crime:
- Undermines innovation, stifles creativity and reduces public trust
- Damages the environment, putting health and safety at risk
- Causes significant economic losses   At INTERPOL, we continue to take action with our member countries. This year’s Operation Pangea led to the seizure of over 50 million doses of illicit medicines worth USD 65 million.   The IP crime landscape is constantly evolving, and so are we. INTERPOL remains committed to staying ahead of these threats.
