A massive federal program would be rife with massive fraud and political manipulation for electoral dominance. Without the initiative and social pressure to develop enhanced skill-sets, you’re looking at another massive top-down program to create a “Marching Moron culture.” Regardless of your fantasy thinking, this would degrade into chaos. Perhaps your “rosy future” ultimately might result in a civil war between a divided human gene pool?

@elonmusk Free markets solve "unemployment" better than government. Arts like gaming, music, movies, comedy, and social media will grow. Entrepreneurs will use automation to come up with new products and services. For the truly destitute charities, churches, etc. will take care of them.

That is certainly one solution...but brings up the question of what people will do if they don't have the organizing principle that WORK provides? What will we do all day? What will be our purpose?
