I found an old screenshot in my gallery today. Just a conversation with someone I used to talk to every single day. I stared at it longer than I should have. It’s strange how someone can go from being the most normal part of your life to existing almost entirely in your memory. I still think about people I no longer speak to. Not in a way that ruins my day. They just appear sometimes. In the middle of something ordinary. Halfway through a song I forgot they once loved. And for a few seconds they’re beside me again, exactly as they used to be. I think what gets me is how ordinary the last conversation always is. No dramatic ending. No final goodbye. You just reply a little later each time until eventually you stop expecting their name on your phone altogether. Certain people stay with me with unusual clarity. Not because I can’t move on. But because once someone mattered to me deeply enough, parts of them just remain. And I think that’s okay.

This Messi-Ronaldo conversation can not be about football 'cos there's nothing to compare. The people who choose Ronaldo over Messi can't do so over football. It's an individual thing. They like the person Ronaldo, his looks, physique, work ethics and style but definitely not over football.
