Emma Martinez opened the bottom half of the inning for the Bulldogs with a leadoff triple. She scored on the next batter following a throwing error from Aggies catcher Sofia Trejo. Early 1-0 lead for the Bulldogs just two batters in.

Bulldogs' pitcher Lauryn Carranco retires the Aggies to start tonight's contest. Carranco needed just nine pitches to get through the first inning.

Fresno State softball returns home to the Margie Wright Diamond tonight to kick off the Bulldogs' final conference play stint as part of the Mountain West. Bulldogs are taking on Utah State with the first pitch in just over 10 minutes.
