Today, we were part of a conference meeting with Headmasters and safeguarding leads from school across Tamside, Trafford, and Manchester. I shared my story and spoke about the ripple effects it has on the families and communities left behind. Thank you to @JessLaneOneEd

Aside from reiterating the importance of days like these, dedicated to reducing harm through education, I want to thank @JessLaneOneEd and @RachelFosterOE for making me feel so welcome, and to the lovely person (sorry I can’t remember your name!) who helped with tech/sound. It really makes a difference when to be greeted with such warmth and empathy - and to be offered tea, coffee and pastries 🥐! I felt immediately relaxed, nerves disappeared - and I enjoyed being on stage. The audience was very engaged and receptive. A lovely, warm crowd… I wish I’d had teachers like you!
