sam kerr case going from “ha she called a cop a white bastard, surely the case will get tossed” to “sam & kristie were kidnapped & the cop was being racist but he got called white and that made him sad- take it to trial” is such an ugly stain on the justice system

The Sam Kerr case is a good example of how states don’t use racial vilification laws to obtain justice just to reinforce racial hierarchies and obscure relationships of power.

Long Covid is a class issue, idk why it needs to be said explicitly. Who doesn’t have paid leave? Who doesn’t have savings to take months, years off? Who doesn’t have insurance? Who doesn’t have a household that can be down an income?

The thing is, there’s a large feminist literature from decades ago and is wider than discussion of trans that problematises the concept of ‘woman’. Black, lesbian and working class feminists have long talked about ‘woman’ as exclusionary. The other thing is, GCs haven’t read it.

Endless circular reasoning. 'A woman is anyone who identifies as one', yet they can't define woman. To do so would be to admit that a woman is a woman by virtue of her sex class and nothing else - not dress, not behaviour, not life choices, not 'femininity' - simply her anatomy.

The bathroom ban in the US is the epitome of why cops never belong at pride.
It's simple. If basic aspects of our existence are against the law, who enforces those laws? Who arrests us for using bathrooms and taking our hormones?
They are the frontline of our criminalisation.

If you are insisting on your right to be in public w/out wearing respiratory protection, you are also saying that those more vulnerable than you (currently) must sacrifice any access at all to public life for your right to enjoy the privilege of doing so barefaced.
