@buchi_yt This doesn't make much sense how this is possible when YouTube has their content ID system. They would flag duplicate videos instantly.

I just finished a 72-hour experiment to see if YouTube actually punishes old channels. Here is what I did: I took two identical videos. Same file, same thumbnail, same title, same everything. I posted one on an old, monetized channel with 8,000 subscribers that has been struggling lately. I posted the other on a brand new channel with zero subscribers and no history. The results were huge. The old channel got 3,500 impressions and stopped at 350 views. The new channel got 18,000 impressions and over 1,200 views on the very first upload. YouTube support usually tells us that views drop because "audience interest has changed." This proves that isn't true. The content was exactly the same. The only difference was the channel it was posted on. It seems like the algorithm judges your new videos based on your past performance. If your channel has been performing poorly, or hasn't uploaded in a few months, they don't give your new videos a fair chance. They mark it as low priority. My advice: If you know your videos are good but your channel is stuck, just start a new one. It is much easier to start fresh than to try and fix a channel with a "bad" history. Has anyone else noticed this happen to them?
