@LearningStead @FredSimonTLM It’s definitely the best part having the family involved! Props to incorporating the fam. Our family is our primarily work force in the bees and candles however during harvest time we definitely bring in the neighbors to assist with the heavy lifting

When winter work carries in to spring. The smell of fresh milled New England White Pine and beeswax is otherworldly.

@Sola_Requiem Getting two beers into a deep conversation with the homies, yelling at each other for two hours and then at the end of it giving a bro hug is the best feeling. Then you do it again 3 months later, you love to see it.

@CatholicSat This is pretty big, people like Cardinal Cupich do not like Eurcharistic Processions…This also is a public sign of our faith to the evangelize the world. This is one of my favorite practices to do with my young children as they can “Walk With Jesus”. Beautiful!

Ahead of Corpus Christi, Pope Leo XIV encourages the practice of public Eucharistic Processions as a witness of our Faith: “In the Eucharist, we contemplate Jesus, the bread broken and given for each of us. Processions with the Most Holy Sacrament, which take place in the streets of many towns, are an expression of popular Eucharistic devotion. In this regard, I encourage you to keep alive the beautiful public witness of the Faith.”

You can tell a lot about a man based on if he wears bow ties or normal ties.

I stopped reading "little kid" books to my 7, 4 and 3 year old and started reading the classics, and now my children can't stop singing "Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!" You love to see it!

@RobertBurns82 Mayor, I think another big issue is the balance of building more homes and keeping farmland/rural communities authentic so that young families can afford 3-10 acres. Even in rural towns in NC it is very expensive. Thank you!

Simple idea for NC: Protect our land. Protect our farmland from being bought by Chinese corporations. Protect our Western NC land from being bought by big corporations trying to mine Lithium after Helene. Protect your land from being taxed, specifically property owned by citizens 65 & older, veterans, and those who have paid off their homes. Let’s get it done.

I saw this post from Colin and have been pondering on it for the past hour. Stable Institutions such as education, housing and retirement I feel are going to pivot over the next years as people have less kids and also there is a nihilism going about the the next generation. Why is it that a mortgage company (which was a sign of the American dream) shifting their efforts to yuppie athleisure wear? This is because the new American dream for Millennials and Zoomers is work-life balance (which is good) and products that relate to that life style, note it is not suites or fancy dresses, but athleisure. Whether it is because they feel that told American Dream is dead, there is a shift that institutions are starting to recognize and are trying to be first to market on it.
Colin Robertson@mortgagetruth

One of the nation's largest mortgage lenders has launched an athleisure clothing line. Rate (formerly Guaranteed Rate) has rolled out RateFit, "a wellness-driven lifestyle brand." They were the 7th largest mortgage lender in the country last year. (I'm as baffled as you are).
