2026 Yankees/MLB Predictions -High floor and should be a playoff team. That being said, hard to be too excited about them when they were disappointing last season and did nothing to improve. But I think they’ll make the playoffs and then anything can happen there. I’m just tired of playoff failures -I’m high on them but EVERYONE predicting Rice and Schlittler break outs worries me. I actually think Will Warren is the biggest breakout on the team. Ryan Weathers will be good too -Having Gerrit Cole back will be neat. I think he’s going to come back with a vengeance and be old Cole -Grisham is going to be a bust and lead to Dominguez/Jones playing time -I think McMahon and Caballero will be valuable pieces all year and over perform -The bullpen scares the shit out of me. Could be a disaster. Could be really good -The rotation is the clear strength of this team. The lineup will put up runs but I worry about them in October -Judge having another insane year would be cool but at this point his season starts in the playoffs -Make or break year for Volpe. And would love Wells to take a step and hit over .200 -Would love to see Lombard and Lagrange be impactful this season -not being awful in June and July would be cool -It’s great to have Yankees baseball back and they are very good but I’m just so tired of being hurt by this team with the same shit every season. Just win it all this year please -Cubs over Astros official World Series pick -Pirates make playoffs. Athletics and White Sox both vastly over perform -Ronald Acuna Jr. goes nuts

Guys who live in the suburbs will swear the commute into the city “isn’t that bad” as they wake up at 5:45am miss the first train (or delayed) sit for 58 minutes next to a fat guy eating a tuna sandwich get to Penn 12 minutes late have to take 2 different subways to get to the office come into dripping of sweat in summer spend $400/month on transit all to sit in a cubicle and say “honestly it’s kinda nice, gives me time to decompress and listen to podcasts”

I am an Alabama resident. The state of Alabama has a higher GDP per capita than Canada; $66,300 vs. $58,000. We also have lower taxes. As such, Alabamians have more disposable income than Canadians. We can afford nice houses for a fraction of the cost that they would cost in Canada. The median home price in Alabama is around $220,000. In Canada, the median is about $650,000. In Alabama, that could get you a very nice 4,000 square-foot house. A lot of successful people live here. Huntsville, for instance, is home to NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and a university. They have among the highest number of Ph.D.'s per capita as a result of that. Has Canada sent man to the moon? I'm asking for a friend. There's also Auburn University and the University of Alabama down in Tuscaloosa. They are both very good schools for a college education. Alabama has more daylight hours and better weather, on average. We get more Vitamin D because we can spend more time outdoors. Alabama also doesn't have a carbon tax because our governor doesn't believe in the fairytale that trace carbon dioxide (CO₂) controls the weather. Where Canada arguably has an advantage is in social safety (e.g., violent crime rates) and health (e.g. life expectancy), but it comes at the expense of taxpayers, which reduces individual freedom. Here in the states, you need to work to bring yourself up, and if you do that and put the work in, you have better material living.
