The raw reality of China’s commercial dog meat industry has been exposed in a disturbing video out of Yulin, Guangxi, capturing the brutal methods used to handle these animals.
The unedited footage shows a facility worker methodically treating dogs for parasites using a harsh chemical dipping process. Armed with a long pole and a neck noose, a woman forcefully hoists a struggling black dog into a large vat of diluted phoxim—a toxic organophosphate insecticide used in Chinese agriculture to kill mites and ticks. For nearly twenty seconds, the animal thrashes in terror, gasping for air as it is repeatedly dunked and agitated in the chemical bath before being pulled back out by its neck toward a long row of crowded wire-mesh cages.
While Beijing frequently downplays the dog meat trade to global audiences, this footage captures the standard, industrialized reality of the Yulin supply chain.

@JahnaviIyer Imagine being this uncivilized and sadistic in 2026. I can’t believe we have to share the same oxygen with these ignorant demons

Using the "innocent kids are attacked by dogs" narrative to flip the blame always is pure gaslighting. The reality is exactly the opposite in most of the cases.
Stop using the "they are just kids" defense to justify organized animal cruelty. What we see here isnt childhood innocence; its a toxic, calculated failure of empathy stemming directly from irresponsible and ignorant upbringing.
Empathy is taught. When parents fail to teach children to respect life, it breeds a dangerous detachment from basic humanity. Animal abuse is a proven gateway to violent behavior, and accountability starts at home. Teach your children better.

A dog was fatally shot by the Los Angeles Police Department after they responded to an apartment building in Canoga Park, California, where they were called for reports of a "screaming woman" in an apartment unit. Family members say she was celebrating the New York Knicks' NBA Championship win when the tragedy occurred.

@domdyer70 Sadistic demons. The parents need some classes on how to teach empathy to children!

@RealPaulMueller I’ve said it many times today. This is the first time I call a police officer a pussy! He could’ve used a pepper spray! Tool fixation is really a thing.

At the time of the incident, Hu Xijin, former editor-in-chief of the Global Times, commented on the social consequences that followed the actions of a university student who was a member of a cat abuse group as follows:
“Society should provide students with opportunities for correction and give this young person a sense of perspective and hope.
The university’s rejection of this student is already a severe punishment.
I hope that this student truly regrets his actions, rebuilds his values, and that public opinion does not continue to pursue him relentlessly.
I also hope that, after his path to graduate school has been interrupted, other paths will open up for him.”
Such remarks are strikingly similar to the language often found in judicial sentencing statements in animal abuse cases in Japan.
In many of these cases, perpetrators avoid actual prison sentences and are released back into society with suspended sentences or fines.
However, animal abusers do not simply stop abusing animals.
Nor do they stop targeting vulnerable animals.

Dünyanın her yerinde can dostlarımızın hak ettiği değeri, saygıyı ve korumayı gördüğü, yasaların kağıt üstünde kalmayıp böyle kararlılıkla uygulandığı günlerin çoğalmasını diliyorum.

@Justice4Jameson That officer is such a pussy! He could’ve used a pepper spray! Or even the taser if he felt threatened. Tool fixation that’s called.
English

The bodycam footage doesn't change the reality of what happened.
A family lost a dog they loved. A life that brought comfort, loyalty, and companionship was cut short.
For many people, that's what makes this story so difficult to watch. Not because it's controversial, but because the outcome feels so tragic and unnecessary.
