Is there a version of #PEM that doesn't involve sleepiness or tiredness? But more a... bodily 'fatigue/malaise' typified by heaviness and pain? #LongCovid #MECFS

@CharleyBaker1 Oh no. Things like this are the last thing you need. Hopefully it will pop into your head when you stop trying to remember it. Sending love xxx

Password Dashlane ‘keep all my passwords in one place’ thingy is great! … If the person who had it reminded the person who now needs it what the master password is … because she can’t remember it … 🤦‍♀️

@LittlePersonDoc @Ask_foradoctor @_BNUni As an ex-nursing student, I have no doubt whatsoever that I'd have faced disciplinary action and been hauled in front of the Fitness to Practice panel, and most likely expelled from the course. They would not tolerate it. People have been disciplined for far less.

@Ask_foradoctor @_BNUni Genuine question for anyone involved with medical education. If a medical student posted such details on social media with photographs, likely taken without consent, what would be the course of action?

@mancunianmedic @nmcnews Couldn't agree more. I posted about this, too. This could, in fact, be a result of bullying. So many nurses get away with things, then if you don't fit in, boom, you get the book thrown at you. NMC have outdone themselves here. Poor woman.

another heavy-handed, ridiculous decision by @nmcnews Who at the same time have failed to take action against registered nurses in senior management roles who have bullied and silenced staff or colluded in terrible policy decisions thetimes.com/uk/law/article…

@perpetual_sisu @drseanmullen This is what I didn't understand. You reverse barrier nurse when caring for immnocompromised patients. What the hell have these nurses been doing?! Shocking.

@drseanmullen I don’t understand this for many reasons. In the before times, when I worked in the ER that was attached to a large onc hospital, we absolutely wore n95 masks to access ports and with neutropenic pts. So where are these lying nurses from?!

“We didn’t wear them before Covid” is a declaration of ignorance. Saying it as a medically trained professional, with pride, after Covid, within the walls of an oncology clinic, is unethical medical malpractice. As long as we’re here… For those without medical training, you get a pass on your ignorance because of the unprecedented amount of data masking going on and the gross levels of disinformation from government. But once you are FULLY informed, and have time to process facts, and you still don’t take precautions, you’re revealing two things about yourself: 1. High risk appetite 2. No concern for others If you work with people and socialize, you’re taking on the persona of stunt person who is jumping over humans with no concern about crushing them if you made the wrong calculation in a given situation. You are making the calculation every few minutes, every day you socialize with others (because infection can occur in <2 minutes). If you work in the area of Heath and you don’t mask, YOU HAVE NO CARE FOR OTHERS.

2/2 I couldn’t have managed without the support of his boys, my friends & family + the impeccable profession care we received throughout his illness. I have lost a wonderful friend & coparent, but we managed to keep him at home where he wanted to stay until the end ❤️💔

Simon died just after 9am this morning, 10 weeks after being diagnosed with an aggressive bowel cancer. He battled right to the end for his boys Dylan, Niall & John - his last few days were peaceful. I am beyond proud of Dylan ❤️ 1/2

@MDando1 @GoreLloyd it's not about what you want to do ; it's about ideology. Live wherever you want, but know that people who say "nature, no meds" are eugenists.

@chercheplusou @GoreLloyd e.g. my ideal would be a bungalow in the middle of nowhere. Peaceful, green. A bedroom with doors which open out into fields or forests. So I could be as close to nature as possible.

@MDando1 @GoreLloyd uphill in the thread. it's not about "that would be nice to take a bath and help me to get more relaxed, a bit of magnesium in the water". For many pwME, bath means PEM. For other it's fine. It's not about baths. "Healing in nature" discourse is antimedical ideology

@chercheplusou @GoreLloyd Well I'd love to be in nature. I think it would help me be more relaxed. A less stressed body is bound to be beneficial for health, both mental & physical. Bit of vit D from the sun as well. It would be quieter too. I don't even remember the post saying no meds. Did u see it?

@MDando1 @GoreLloyd "no meds" means no meds. it's anti -medicine I would most probabely not help: then those who have would be in patios, gardens, camping and it would be recommanded. We are in our beds, far from sunshine because it's better for us.

@chercheplusou @GoreLloyd I think they just meant that being in nature would be soothing and healing for us. Not that we should stop meds etc. Just that it would help. It probably would, it's just not feasible for most 25%ers. I don't even go in my garden.

@GoreLloyd This kind of discourse has little to do with me/cfs and is actually completely ideological, anti-science, anti-medicine and it's very dangerous for us.

@GoreLloyd @Naomi_D_Harvey Interesting. Not sure how long you've been in the group, but I feel like most posts I've seen in that group are bedbound. Not invalidating what you've seen - just interesting.

@GoreLloyd I saw that comment and did think it was strange. Are you sure it was the 25% group? I can't find the post again. Anyway, usually it's okay. Sometimes I have to bite my tongue when someone describes doing activities that aren't possible for 25%ers. That's rare though.

The NMC have lost the plot. Some people practically get away with murder, some people get this. Just depends if you fit in or not. Like she said, everyone did it. NHS nurse caught stealing two headache tablets suspended dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1… via @MailOnline
